In forest school today, we made a fox den as a team- some used spaces and dug down as lots of foxes build their dens underground, others weaved branches around trees to provide them some shelter and protection from bigger predators and lots of us enjoyed looking for some meat for the foxes to eat- we made a plate for the foxes out of leaves and left our worms on there for them for later!
We even found a real fox den and managed to see a fox running across the field! We’re really impressed with how you’ve engaged with your learning this week Teal class, it’s been such fun! 🦊🦊🦊🦊 5 Likes
The children proudly read aloud the diary entries they had written from the perspective of Cinderfella. They were fantastic at listening carefully to one another, showing respect as an audience, and offering thoughtful feedback to help their friends improve their writing.

This week, we have been practising subitising (recognising small amounts without counting) by spotting quantities of 1, 2 and 3 in different arrangements and showing these amounts on our fingers. The children also enjoyed playing a number bingo game, helping them to quickly recognise numbers 1-3 in different ways.
We have been exploring the number 4 by creating different models and patterns using Unifix cubes, just like Numberblock Four. The children talked about the different ways 4 can be arranged whilst still representing the same amount.
We are so proud of how confidently the children are beginning to recognise quantities! Well done, Teal Class! ⭐

Throughout the visit, the children took part in a range of brilliant activities designed to help them understand how to respond in emergencies and stay safe in a variety of real-life situations. One of the highlights was practising how to call the emergency services, with everyone learning what information they would need to give and how to stay calm when asking for help.
The workshops encouraged the children to think carefully, make sensible decisions, and build confidence in situations they may encounter as they grow older. From safety awareness to problem-solving, the morning was packed with valuable lessons that will stay with them for years to come.
We were incredibly proud of how the Robins represented our school. They demonstrated all of our school values throughout the visit showing maturity and respect. Their enthusiasm and engagement impressed the Lifeskills staff, and they gave their very best effort in every activity.
A big thank you to the team at the Lifeskills Centre for providing such an enjoyable and educational experience. We had an excellent morning learning important life lessons and creating memories along the way!
