Children will be bringing costumes home today (some may have already). They are to return to school for 5.15pm prompt this evening fully dressed in their costumes ready to perform. When doors open and parents go in the hall to take their seats, Mrs Turner will call children into class via office doors. 🎭
Also, please could children all bring a large, strong bag with them to take all their school books/work home with them after the performance. 📚 2 Likes
We explored a text together and, in groups, the children identified words they were unsure about. We then came back together as a class to create a list of these words under their letter headings.
The children learned how to use context clues and re-read sections of the text to help work out the meanings of unfamiliar words. We also discussed which words would be useful to include in a glossary and worked together to clarify the meaning of new vocabulary. 7 Likes

They walked beautifully to the bus stop and back again, they were very sensible on the bus even members of the public commented how well behaved they had been and loved their journey with Teal class.
They enjoyed playing games on the sand, building sandcastles, seeing the donkeys and most of all having an ice lolly.
